Cost-Sharing & Payments
Poolr never touches your ride money. Riders and drivers share fuel cost directly by UPI, capped at actual cost — a shared expense, not a fare.
Poolr never possesses, collects, or processes your ride money. Cost-sharing is settled directly between the rider and the driver. This is what keeps Poolr genuine cost-sharing rather than a commercial transport or payment service.
1How cost-sharing works
When you pool, the rider contributes a share of the trip's actual running cost — fuel and tolls — worked out from the vehicle's mileage and split between the people travelling. The app shows you the estimated share so there are no surprises.
2Settled directly, by UPI
Payment happens directly between users, typically over UPI. Poolr may show a UPI link to make this easy, but the money moves between your accounts — it never flows through Poolr, and Poolr holds no funds.
3A shared expense, not a fare
The contribution is capped at the driver's actual cost and must never yield a profit. It is a shared expense between commuters, not a fare for a service. Drivers who attempt to profit are removed.
4Disputes
Because Poolr does not handle the money, Poolr does not mediate payment disputes between users. Please agree the cost share up front and settle promptly. Persistent non-payment can be reported and may affect a user's standing.
5Rewards points
Separately from ride cost-sharing, Poolr may award points for pooling and CO₂ saved, redeemable for offers. Points are rewards, never cash, and are governed by the Terms.
