Community & Safety Guidelines
The rules that keep Poolr safe: verify who you ride with, buckle up and wear helmets, respect each other, and report anyone who breaks the rules.
Poolr works because people treat each other well. These guidelines keep pooling safe and pleasant for everyone — follow them, and help us by reporting anyone who doesn't.
1Verify before you travel
Always check the driver's name, photo and vehicle number match before you get in. If something doesn't match, don't travel — and report it.
2Safety on every ride
- Seatbelts on in cars; helmets on for both rider and pillion on two-wheelers.
- Never drive or travel under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Share your live trip with someone you trust, especially on a first ride with a new person.
3Respect and zero harassment
No harassment, threats, unwanted advances, or discrimination of any kind — on gender, religion, caste, disability or anything else. Treat the vehicle, the route and each other with respect. No smoking without the driver's consent.
4The same-gender filter
Any user can turn on a same-gender filter so they are only matched with people of the same gender. Respect others' choice to use it.
5Money stays clean and simple
Settle the agreed fuel share promptly after the ride, directly between yourselves — never more than the actual cost split. No haggling or cash disputes in the vehicle. See Cost-Sharing & Payments.
6Rate, report and block
Rate honestly after each ride. If anyone breaks these rules or makes you uncomfortable, report or block them in the app. Reports are reviewed.
7What gets you removed
Harassment or violence, driving under the influence, carrying a fake identity or documents, using a commercial vehicle for profit, or repeated no-shows and rule-breaking will lead to suspension or permanent removal from Poolr.
